Abruzzo Ski Resort Experiences Influx of Neapolitan Tourists for Third Consecutive Sunday
Roccaraso: A relatively small ski resort in Abruzzo experienced an overwhelming influx of day trippers from Naples on Sunday, marking the third consecutive weekend of heightened tourist activity.
According to Ansa News Agency, approximately 5,000 visitors were anticipated, arriving in around 50 coaches from the Campania region to the Roccaraso resort near Castel di Sangro. Despite reports of scarce snow, Neapolitan tourists have been undeterred, drawn to the resort by attractive cut-price daily offers available online.
Last Saturday, three coaches were turned away for not possessing the necessary booking documents, highlighting the high demand and organizational challenges faced by the resort. However, the enthusiasm of the Campanian winter sports enthusiasts remains unabated, as they continue to flock to the slopes for an affordable day out.
