19-Year-Old Confesses to New Year’s Eve Murder in Provaglio d’Iseo
PROVAGLIO D’ISEO: A 19-year-old has confessed to the murder of Roberto Comelli, 42, on New Year’s Eve, according to investigative sources. The incident occurred in the northern town of Provaglio d’Iseo, where Comelli was allegedly stabbed by the teenager during an altercation at a private party attended by approximately 80 youths.
According to Ansa News Agency, the teenager, hailing from the town of Prevalle near Brescia, has been arrested on murder charges. He reportedly told investigators that the stabbing occurred after Comelli attempted to forcibly enter the event. The local prosecutor, Laura Matrone, ordered the arrest, and the suspect was subsequently transported to the Canton Montello prison in Bergamo.
The Carabinieri police discovered the murder weapon, identified as a kitchen knife, in close proximity to Comelli’s body. Investigative sources have indicated that the murder likely resulted from a dispute, though the exact reasons for the altercation remain unclear.
