15-Year-Old Arrested for Stabbing 14-Year-Old Boy in Italian Park

Rome: A 15-year-old boy has been arrested by Carabinieri police for allegedly stabbing a 14-year-old boy in a public park in the town of Castel San Pietro Terme, near Bologna. This incident marks the latest in a series of unsettling cases involving minors in Italy.

According to Ansa News Agency, the suspect reportedly approached the victim while he was playing with other children in the park and stabbed him three times in the chest without any apparent reason. After the attack, the assailant fled the scene. However, police were able to identify and track down the suspect.

The injured boy was transported to Bologna’s Maggiore Hospital for treatment. This incident has contributed to growing public concern over the psychological well-being of young people in Italy, as several alarming cases involving minors have recently surfaced.

In another tragic case, a 15-year-old boy took his life in Santi Cosma e Damiano, near Latina, after reportedly being bullied. The boy’s parents claimed the school did nothing to address the situation, while the school asserted they were not informed.

Additionally, a disturbing case in the Abruzzo town of Sulmona involves a 12-year-old girl who was allegedly raped repeatedly over two years by a 14-year-old and an 18-year-old. These incidents highlight the urgent need for addressing the mental health and safety of minors in the country.
