Rome: A 13-year-old boy has died after sustaining gunshot injuries to the head at his home in Rome. The incident occurred on Saturday night, and the boy succumbed to his injuries at the San Camillo hospital early on Monday.
According to Ansa News Agency, police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the child’s death. Initial reports suggest that the boy may have accidentally shot himself.
The firearm involved in the incident belonged to the boy’s brother, who reportedly had a permit to use it for sporting purposes. At the time of the shooting, the boy was at home with his father, who was in another room when the gun discharged.
