13-Year-Old Allegedly Raped After Leaving Hospital in Palermo

Palermo: Police in the Sicilian city of Palermo are investigating the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl who says she was attacked on Saturday night after fleeing a local paediatric hospital because of a fight with her mother, the local edition of the Repubblica newspaper reported on Tuesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the teen was reportedly raped by an older boy in the Borgo Nuovo district of Palermo after she had fled the Di Cristina Hospital following the fight with her mother. Investigators are trying to identify the alleged rapist of the 13-year-old, who was reportedly drunk on Saturday night, according to the daily.
