Budapest: Zsolt Semjén, the Deputy Prime Minister, has provided a written response to a question posed by Ágnes Vadai, a representative of the Democratic Coalition. The question, which was addressed in accordance with the provisions of Act XXXVI of 2012 on the Parliament, focused on whether Semjén was aware of a document related to the clemency case of Zoltán Balog, who faces charges of forgery linked to allegations involving pedophiles.
According to KDNP, Semjén’s response was straightforward and unambiguous. He stated, “It wasn’t,” when asked if he was aware of the document in question. Semjén further questioned the relevance of the inquiry, asking what connection he or the Hungarian State might have with a complaint involving a cantor in the court of the Reformed Synod. He also challenged the implication that he should report private discussions to the Democratic Coalition.
Semjén’s response highlighted his view that the question posed by Vadai did not pertain to any governmental responsibilities. The ex
