Yellow warning for thunderstorms on Friday

The Department of Meteorology issued on Thursday afternoon a yellow warning for thunderstorms on Friday, September 6.

As stated, isolated severe thunderstorms are expected to affect areas mainly inland and over the mountains, while thunderstorms may be accompanied by hail.

It is added that the precipitation rate is expected to range between 35 and 55 mm per hour.

The warning will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, the statement concludes.
