Woman Stabbed to Death in Italy’s Latest Femicide Incident

Varese: A 57-year-old man fatally stabbed his wife on Wednesday outside her residence in the town of Samarate, located in the province of Varese. The man was apprehended by Carabinieri police as he attempted to harm himself with the same knife used in the attack.

According to Ansa News Agency, this tragic event is the most recent in a series of femicides occurring in Italy. The victim has been identified as Teresa Stabile, aged 55, who shared a 28-year-old son with her husband. The couple was reportedly undergoing a separation.

The perpetrator, Vincenzo Gerardi, allegedly waited for Stabile’s return home from work and launched his attack as she entered the courtyard of her building.
