Woman Killed Near Florence in Italy’s Latest Femicide
Rufina: A woman was found dead with stab wounds in her home in the province of Florence, town of Rufina, early on Saturday. This incident appears to be the latest in a series of femicides that have been occurring in Italy.
According to Ansa News Agency, investigators suspect that the 34-year-old woman was murdered by her 37-year-old husband. He is currently in Florence’s Careggi hospital in critical condition after reportedly throwing himself from the second floor of their apartment building. This act is believed to have been an attempted suicide following the murder.
The deceased woman is survived by a two-year-old child.
