Lurago Marinone: A 20-year-old woman has tragically died after being struck by a car in Lurago Marinone, located in the province of Como. The incident occurred overnight when the woman reportedly exited her vehicle to rescue an animal, as stated by sources on Saturday.

According to Ansa News Agency, Carabinieri police have apprehended a 43-year-old man in connection with the incident. The man is accused of hitting the woman with his vehicle and subsequently fleeing the scene. Authorities located the suspect asleep in his apartment, where it was discovered he had a blood alcohol level of 1.49 mg per litre and one foot in plaster.
