Woman, 27, Fatally Attacked by Dogs in Friend’s Garden

Latina: A 27-year-old Nigerian-Italian woman was mauled to death by four or five dogs in the garden of a friend’s house on the outskirts of Latina, south of Rome, on Monday, local sources reported.

According to Ansa News Agency, the same pack of dogs had attacked another woman and the homeowner just last week. Police officers from the Latina police station responded to the scene of the attack at approximately 3 am and attempted to disperse the dogs by firing a gunshot.

The victim was transported by ambulance to the local Santa Maria Goretti hospital but succumbed to her injuries a few hours later. Authorities confirmed that the woman’s friend was not present at the house when the attack took place.
