Weather Alert Issued for Northern and Central Italy: Heavy Rain and Thunderstorms Expected

Rome: One of Italy’s top weathermen on Tuesday issued a weather alert for the northern and central regions of Italy, forecasting heavy rain and thunderstorms over the next three days. The alert covers areas including Triveneto, Tuscany, Umbria, and Lazio, with rainfall also expected across the rest of the Center-North.

According to Ansa News Agency, Lorenzo Tedici, a meteorologist at IlMeteo.it, warned that the weather conditions are expected to worsen significantly by Wednesday, with the most intense phenomena anticipated in the Northwest. These adverse conditions will be accompanied by gale-force winds sweeping from North to South, bringing further rain.

The weather system is expected to gradually subside by Friday. However, Tedici noted that this would be a temporary respite, as more showers are predicted between Easter and Easter Monday, particularly affecting the Northwest regions.
