Volleyball Coach Arrested for Abusing Underage Players

Varese: A 53-year-old Italian girls’ volleyball coach was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexually abusing several underage players. The alleged incidents allegedly occurred during training sessions or after matches, police in Varese north of Milan said.

According to Ansa News Agency, the investigation began in November 2024 after a complaint from one of the girls. Carabinieri said their investigations had obtained “concrete evidence” of the man’s abuse of the players, aged between 13 and 16.
