Victoras Pentaras achieves 7th place in Paris 2024 Paralympic Games
Cypriot athlete Viktoras Pentaras ranked 7th in the Long Jump at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games on Tuesday evening.
Pantaras, with a jump of 5.88m, secured the 7th place in the Long Jump final of the T37 category held at the Stade de France.
Brian Lionel Bellizzeri from Argentina secured the gold medal with a jump at 6.42, Samson Ophio from Kenya won the silver medal with a jump at 6.20 m. and Mateus Evangelista Cardoso the Bronze with a jump of 6.20.
This is Pentaras’ first appearance at the Paralympic Games and had secured his qualification from the world high performance rankings.
The Cypriot athlete has achieved many international successes by winning several medals and achieving excellent jumps.
Although his personal record is 6.05, his official record is 5.98 that was achieved in Switzerland.
