US Raises Travel Advisory for Italy to Level Two

Washington: The Trump administration has elevated the ‘travel advisory’ for Italy, urging American tourists to “exercise greater caution” due to the “risk of terrorist violence”. This change increases Italy’s advisory level from the basic level one to level two.

According to Ansa News Agency, the updated advisory, initially issued on May 23, has been highlighted by various US media outlets recently. While most European Union countries remain at level one on a scale of one to four, Italy joins Spain, Germany, and France at level two.

The advisory warns that terrorists could potentially attack “with little or no warning” and advises caution in tourist areas.
