Unstable Weather Conditions Anticipated for Halloween in Italy

Rome: Italy will experience unstable weather conditions on Halloween, with heavy rain expected in the northern regions this weekend. Forecaster Lorenzo Tedici shared this outlook on Thursday.

According to Ansa News Agency, rain is anticipated at the end of October and into early November. Tedici, a meteorologist for iLMeteo.it, forecasts that the northern parts of Italy will continue to face inclement weather throughout the weekend due to a new Atlantic low-pressure system.

Tedici explained that in the coming hours, rain is expected to cover the entire Northwest, with moderate levels in some areas, and the heaviest rainfalls predicted for Liguria, Upper Lombardy, and the Western Alps. By late morning, the weather system is expected to progress toward the Northeast, Eastern Liguria, and Upper Tuscany, also impacting Sardinia.

In the afternoon, these weather conditions will linger in the far Northeast, Tuscany, and Sardinia, extending further to Umbria, Lazio, Sicily, and the Marche regions.

On the following day, the weather will remain unstable, with occasional but sudden showers and sunny spells interchanging, especially in the morning across Sardinia, Lazio, Sicily, and Friuli Venezia Giulia. From the afternoon into the evening, thunderstorms, at times strong, are anticipated in Sicily, Calabria, and Puglia.

As the weekend progresses, the North will experience additional rain, particularly on Sunday, while the Center-South is expected to have more sunny spells. In the North, scattered rain is predicted, with heavy downpours in Liguria. The Center will see rain, mainly along the Tyrrhenian coast, and the South will face severe weather conditions in Sardinia, transitioning to Sicily and upper Campania by evening.

The forecast for Friday, October 31st, indicates overcast skies and intermittent showers in the North, widespread cloud cover with scattered showers in the Center, and rain primarily affecting Sicily and the Ionian coast of Calabria in the South. Moving to Saturday, November 1st, the North will have cloudy skies with isolated showers, while the Center will enjoy sunny spells with light haze, and the South will be partly sunny.

Looking ahead, Sunday is expected to bring more adverse weather to the North, with conditions stabilizing on Monday, except for showers in the South, followed by an early onset of Indian summer conditions.
