Thunderstorms and hail expected to affect Cyprus on Friday

Thunderstorms and hail are expected to affect some areas of Cyprus on Friday.

The Meteorological Department has issued a yellow warning for isolated storms which are expected to affect mainly the mountainous and inland areas and the north between 11:00 and 17:00 local time.

It said that during the storms, hail is also likely while the precipitation rate is expected to range between 35-55 millimeters per hour.
