Three Moroccan Migrants Arrested for Alleged Gang Rape of Hungarian Tourists

Catania: Three Moroccan migrants, aged 21, 22, and 24, have been arrested and charged with the alleged gang rape of two Hungarian tourists near Catania. The incident has drawn significant attention after disturbing details of the assault emerged.

According to Ansa News Agency, the victims had accepted a ride back to their bed and breakfast from two of the suspects. However, instead of taking them to their accommodation, the suspects allegedly drove them to an isolated location where a third man joined them. It is further alleged that the third suspect forced the women to take cocaine before all three men coerced them into non-consensual sexual acts.

The suspects were apprehended by police in the town of Patern². Authorities were able to locate them due to a cell-phone tracker activated by the sister of one of the victims, who had reported them missing. The tourists were discovered visibly distressed and in tears on a bench, while the suspects were found nearby, next to their van.

This incident has sparked widespread outrage and concern for the safety of tourists in the region.
