Teen Gets Over 12 Yrs for Cult Killing of Mum, Brothers

Sicily: A court for minors in Sicily on Friday found an 18-year-old woman guilty of involvement in the religious-cult killing of her mother and two brothers in the town of Altavilla Milicia last year and gave her a jail term of 12 years, eight months. The young woman, whose identity has not been disclosed due to her age at the time of the crime, was sentenced after admitting her participation in the brutal acts that shocked the local community.

According to Ansa News Agency, the woman’s father and two accomplices also participated in what was described as an ‘exorcism’ massacre. These individuals are being tried separately for their roles in the tragic events. The woman was only 17 years old when the incident occurred, and she confessed to her involvement in the torture and killing of her family members, leading to her conviction in the case.

The court proceedings have highlighted the influence of the religious cult on the accused and her accomplices. The case has drawn significant attention due to the nature of the crimes and the involvement of family members in the attack. The sentencing marks a significant step in the ongoing legal process, with further trials expected for the other accused individuals.
