Tajani to Meet Syrian Foreign Minister in Rome for Talks on Political Process

Rome: Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani announced on Monday his plans to meet with Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Al-Shaibani in Rome on Tuesday. The discussions will focus on fostering a peaceful and inclusive political process in Syria.

According to Ansa News Agency, Tajani, who also serves as deputy premier, shared his participation in the Conference on Syria 2025 held in Brussels via a post on X. He emphasized Italy’s commitment to facilitating a political process that ensures the security and rights of all Syrian communities.

Tajani highlighted the importance of this approach in achieving economic and social stability in Syria. He extended an invitation to Al-Shaibani to visit Rome for further discussions on these critical issues.
