Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa Affirms Future for Mirafiori Plant
Turin: New Stellantis CEO Antonio Filosa assured workers on Wednesday that the historic Mirafiori plant in Turin will continue to operate, dismissing any rumors of its closure.
According to Ansa News Agency, Filosa addressed the workers amidst a period of significant change and challenge within the automotive industry, both in Italy and globally. He acknowledged the difficulties faced by the employees and their families but emphasized the company’s commitment to the region. “Despite the difficult period we are going through, investments in Turin and in Italy in recent years have been concrete, they are long-term, they project us into the future,” Filosa stated.
Filosa shared a personal connection to the Mirafiori plant, highlighting that his professional journey began there. He expressed solidarity with the workers by saying, “In Turin, specifically in Mirafiori, I was born from a professional point of view and my career started here. I am one of you.” His remarks aimed to reassure employees of their vital role in the company’s future plans.
