Spread Drops to 10-Yr Low
Rome: The spread between Italian and German 10-year bond yields dropped to an over 10-year low of 89.8 points on Wednesday. This marks the lowest point since March 2015, when the spread reached 87.6 points.
According to Ansa News Agency, the spread, which is a crucial indicator of Italy’s borrowing costs, subsequently rose back to a range of 90-91 basis points. This fluctuation in the spread is closely monitored by financial analysts as it reflects the relative risk and investor confidence in Italian bonds compared to German bonds.
