Soccer: Wantaway Lookman Fined by Atalanta

Bergamo: Nigeria striker Ademola Lookman has been fined by his club Atalanta after going AWOL for a fortnight as he pressed for a move to Inter Milan, which La Dea has denied him.

According to Ansa News Agency, the 27-year-old former Charlton, Everton, Leipzig, Fulham, and Leicester player has also been ordered to train alone until September 2. This decision means Lookman will miss Atalanta’s Serie A games against Pisa and Parma.

With 23-year-old Poland wing-back Nicola Zalewski joining Atalanta from Inter, Lookman’s hopes of joining the Nerazzurri have been definitively dashed.
