Soccer: Juve Sack Sporting Director Giuntoli

Turin: Juventus on Tuesday sacked sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli after two years directing the Turin giant’s overall sporting direction. The Bianconeri terminated their contract with Cristiano Giuntoli, and the divorce between the parties was made official through a statement from the club.

According to Ansa News Agency, “The decision was reached by the parties following a joint evaluation of future prospects and mutual needs,” read the statement. In addition to Giuntoli, middle manager Francesco Calvo’s farewell has also become official, with him resigning effective June 16.

As of today, based on the information available to the Club, Cristiano Giuntoli and Francesco Calvo do not appear to be holders of Juventus shares.
