Rome: Champions Inter thrashed Lecce 4-0 away on Sunday to continue their hot form and remain on the heels of Serie A leaders Napoli. Goals by Davide Frattesi, Lautaro Martinez, Denzel Dumfries, and Mehdi Taremi secured the win for Simone Inzaghi’s side, bringing them within three points of Napoli with a game in hand.

According to Ansa News Agency, Lazio experienced a setback in their pursuit of a top-four finish and a Champions League spot after losing 2-1 at home to Fiorentina at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico. The visiting team took control of the match early with goals from Yacine Adli and Lucas Beltran. Lazio managed to pull one back in stoppage time with a goal from Adam Marusic and nearly equalized when Pedro’s shot hit the post just before the final whistle.

Lazio currently sit fourth in the standings with 39 points, trailing Napoli by 14 points and maintaining a two-point lead over fifth-placed Juventus. In other Serie A action, Napoli strengthened their position at the top of the table by defeating Juvent
