Skopje, Ambassador Palminteri Meets Opera Director

Skopje: The Italian Ambassador Paolo Palminteri met yesterday in Skopje with Oliver Arsovski, the Director of the National Opera and Ballet of the Republic of North Macedonia. The meeting aimed to discuss ways to deepen cooperation between the two institutions.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Italian Embassy reported that the discussions focused on enhancing the partnership within the framework of various cultural initiatives. These initiatives are either organized or supported by the Italian Embassy in Skopje, contributing to the cultural exchange between Italy and North Macedonia.

The meeting also highlighted the significance of Italian opera, recognized by UNESCO as an intangible cultural heritage of humanity. The promotion of Italian opera through cultural diplomacy activities was emphasized, aiming to foster greater appreciation and collaboration in the field of culture.
