Sinner Determined to Move Past French Open Final Defeat

Paris: Italy’s world number one, Jannik Sinner, has expressed his intention to “delete” the memory of his recent defeat to Carlos Alcaraz in the French Open men’s singles final. During the match, Sinner had initially secured a two-set lead and found himself with three championship points, only to ultimately lose in a dramatic turnaround.

According to Ansa News Agency, Sinner reflected on the epic five-hour, 29-minute match, which has now become the longest-ever Roland Garros final. Despite the defeat, Sinner remains proud of the level of performance he delivered throughout the tournament. He acknowledged the pain of the loss but emphasized the importance of moving forward.

Sinner stated, “I’m happy to deliver this kind of level. Happy about the tournament still. But obviously this one hurts.” He further added that while it was a high-level match and he was pleased to be part of it, the final result was disappointing. Sinner is now focusing on taking the positives from the experience and continuing to push forward in his career.
