Sanremo Makes Strong Debut with 65.3% Audience Share
Sanremo: The 2025 Sanremo Song Festival made a strong debut on its opening night Tuesday, attracting an average of 12.6 million viewers, or 65.3% of the audience share. This year’s audience includes for the first time small screen viewers who tune in with a personal computer, smartphone, or tablet.
According to Ansa News Agency, the first night of the festival was hosted by Carlo Conti and featured as a guest star the Italian singer-songwriter and rapper Lorenzo Cherubini, better known as Jovanotti. A video message from Pope Francis also added to the evening’s highlights. The event was co-hosted by popular TV presenters Antonella Clerici and Gerry Scotti.
The festival saw performances from artists Brunori SAS, Giorgia, Lucio Corsi, Simone Cristicchi, and Achille Lauro, who topped the standings on the first evening of the much-loved TV jamboree and song contest.

e TV audience share, indicating a notable increase in viewership this year.
