Roof Collapse at Regina Coeli Prison in Rome Leaves Areas Unusable
Rome: A portion of the roof of the Regina Coeli prison in Rome has collapsed, though no injuries have been reported, authorities announced on Thursday. The incident has rendered some areas of the prison unusable.
According to Ansa News Agency, the head of the Department of Penitentiary Administration (DAP), Stefano Carmine De Michele, promptly visited the Roman prison following the collapse. The DAP confirmed that although there are no reported injuries, the situation requires immediate attention to address the unusable sections of the facility.
De Michele is currently assessing the necessary and urgent measures needed to tackle this unexpected emergency at the prison.
