Positive Signs from Italian Economy Says Giorgetti

Rome: The Italian economy is giving out positive signs, Economy Minister Giancarlo Giorgetti said Friday.

According to Ansa News Agency, the Italian economy continues to show positive signs. After experiencing a 0.3% GDP increase in the first three months, the year 2025 has already achieved growth of 0.5%. This growth is accompanied by an all-time high for employment and comforting inflation figures, as stated by Giorgetti during his speech at the Italian Banking Association (ABI) annual assembly.

Giorgetti emphasized that the government had fulfilled its role, and it was now the responsibility of the banks to make further progress. He noted that the government assesses bankers not on their nationality but solely on their ability to perform their functions effectively.
