Pope’s Hospitalisation Extends, Misses Jubilee of Deacons Sunday
Vatican City: Pope Francis will not attend the Jubilee of Deacons on Sunday due to an extension of his hospital stay following a change in his respiratory tract therapy. Vatican sources announced that despite the Pope’s absence, events for the Jubilee will proceed as scheduled.
According to Ansa News Agency, the 88-year-old Pope had his therapy adjusted after a “complex” clinical picture emerged. He has been hospitalized at Rome’s Gemelli Hospital since Friday, initially admitted with a breathing issue that was initially believed to be bronchitis.
