Pope to Return to Mechanical Ventilation Tonight

Rome: Pope Francis will return to mechanical ventilation tonight as he battles pneumonia in a Rome hospital, the Vatican said Tuesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, tonight, as scheduled, the Pope will be put on non-invasive mechanical ventilation again until tomorrow morning. The prognosis remains guarded.

During the day, he alternated prayer and rest and this morning he received the Eucharist.
