Vatican City: The first Jubilee event with Pope Leo XIV is set to take place on Wednesday, May 14, when pilgrims participating in the Jubilee of the Eastern Churches will have an audience with the American pontiff at 10 a.m. in the Paul VI Hall, the Vatican announced on Monday.

According to Ansa News Agency, this occasion marks a significant event as the new pontiff had previously only greeted musical bands at the Regina Coeli last Sunday, celebrating their Holy Year that weekend. This upcoming meeting with the Eastern Churches’ pilgrims will be the first of its kind for Pope Leo XIV, signifying an important connection between the Vatican and Eastern Church communities.
