Pope Francis Shows Slight Improvement in Pneumonia Battle

Rome: Pope Francis has suffered no further respiratory crises as he battles pneumonia in a Rome hospital, but his prognosis remains guarded, the Vatican announced.

According to Ansa News Agency, a medical bulletin released on Wednesday evening stated that the Pope’s recent blood and haematocytometric tests confirmed an improvement observed the previous day. The bulletin also noted that Pope Francis continues to receive high-flow oxygen therapy and has not experienced any asthmatic respiratory crises. His respiratory physiotherapy sessions are ongoing.

Despite this slight improvement, the Vatican cautioned that the prognosis for the Holy Father remains reserved. The bulletin further mentioned that Pope Francis participated in receiving the Eucharist in the morning and spent the afternoon engaged in work activities.
