Police Arrest 12 in Nationwide Operation Against Neo-Nazi Group.

Rome: Italy’s State police on Wednesday arrested 12 people in a nationwide operation targeting a white-supremacist, neo-Nazi group called ‘Werwolf Division’. The operation was part of a coordinated effort to dismantle the group, which was believed to be preparing for potential ‘lone-wolf’ attacks.

According to Ansa News Agency, the police also executed search warrants at the homes of 13 individuals, following a warrant issued by a Bologna judge at the request of city prosecutors. The suspects are accused of being part of an organized cell capable of carrying out attacks similar to those executed by other supremacist and jihadist groups.

The investigation focuses on multiple felonies, including criminal association for terrorism, propaganda, and incitement to commit racial, ethnic, and religious discrimination. Additionally, the suspects are under scrutiny for the illegal possession of firearms, further heightening concerns about their potential for violence.
