PNA President Mahmoud Abbas to Visit Rome on November 7
Rome: Palestinian National Authority (PNA) President Mahmoud Abbas is scheduled to visit Rome on November 7, as announced by Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani on Thursday. The visit is part of ongoing efforts to continue dialogue and work towards strengthening the Palestinian Authority, with a particular focus on reconstruction efforts.
According to Ansa News Agency, Minister Tajani made the announcement during a briefing to the Chamber of Deputies, following the interception of the Global Sumud Flotilla. He expressed readiness to welcome President Abbas to Rome and reiterated Italy’s commitment to peace in Gaza and the broader Middle East region. The minister emphasized the importance of the “two peoples, two states” solution, advocating for the establishment of a Palestinian state, a vision supported by the United Nations since 1948.
