Pizza Protagonist at the Buenos Aires Tourism Fair
Buenos aires: Pizza is back in the spotlight in Buenos Aires with the fifth edition of the Pizzaioli School Championship, held this weekend as part of the International Tourism Fair (Fit).
According to Ansa News Agency, the event was inaugurated yesterday by Italian Ambassador Fabrizio Lucentini, who, together with Consul General Carmelo Barbera, emphasized the importance of the event as a vehicle for spreading Italian cuisine. The Championship serves as a preview of the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World in November, highlighting the heritage of health, sustainability, and innovation that characterizes Italian gastronomy.
The Championship brought together competitors from Argentina and other South American countries, with competitions also dedicated to young people, workshops, master classes, and tastings. The jury included internationally renowned Italian pizza masters such as Vincenzo Capuano, Carmine Candito, Livio Orefice, Marco Carlesso, and Francesco Corrado.
The initiative confirms Italy’s commitment to promoting its products and gastronomic culture abroad. It strengthens ties with Italian communities and the local public and consolidates the Italian presence at Fit as a point of reference for Italian cuisine and culture in Argentina.
