Parents Arrested for Allegedly Abducting Gay Daughter in Ercolano
Ercolano: Carabinieri police in Ercolano, in the province of Naples, have arrested a couple on charges of abduction and domestic abuse after they allegedly kidnapped their daughter who had come out as gay, investigative sources said Monday. The mother and father, aged 47 and 43, do not have a police record.
According to Ansa News Agency, their 19-year-old daughter was in a relationship with a 20-year-old and had left the family home to live with a friend after her parents had threatened to set her girlfriend’s home on fire. Despite this, her parents installed a GPS tracking device on her phone, located her at the friend’s house, and forcibly took her back home using violence, as witnessed by onlookers.
Video surveillance cameras outside the friend’s building captured the scene of the alleged kidnapping, as noted by investigative sources.
