One of Two Italians Detained at ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ Returns Home
Rome: Fernando Eduardo Artese, one of two Italians detained at the ‘Alligator Alcatraz’ migrant-detention center in Florida, has returned to Italy, the foreign ministry announced on Thursday. The center is notoriously surrounded by alligator-infested waters in the Everglades.
According to Ansa News Agency, after their initial detention at the facility, Artese and the other Italian detainee, Gaetano Cateno Mirabella Costa, were transferred to another facility in Florida, located at Krome. The foreign ministry continues to monitor Costa’s situation and is providing him with assistance.
