Number of Jobseekers in Hungary Reaches Historic Low in October.

Budapest: National Employment Service (NFSZ) figures have revealed that the number of jobseekers in Hungary stood at 226,219 in October, 2,000 fewer than in the previous month. State Secretary Sándor Czomba said the October figure was the lowest for the month in more than three decades.

According to About Hungary, the number of people seeking work for longer than a year has fallen 4 percent over a year. In addition, approximately 20,000 Hungarians have found work with the support of programs targeting both under and over-30 age groups.

The government has set a target to increase the employment rate to 85 percent. Efforts are being made to utilize the 300,000-strong labor market reserve to achieve this goal.
