Not Too Late for Aid Hand Over, Sa’ar Urges Flotilla

Jerusalem: It is not too late for the Global Sumud Flotilla to hand over the aid it is taking to Gaza to ports in Cyprus or others on the way to the Strip to avert a clash with Israel, Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar said in a message to the activists on Wednesday.

According to Ansa News Agency, Sa’ar emphasized the importance of avoiding confrontation by delivering aid through alternative ports. “From all sides, voices are being raised calling for an end to this Hamas-Sumud provocation,” he stated, urging the flotilla to consider the peaceful delivery of aid.

Sa’ar suggested that the activists deliver the aid through the port of Cyprus, the Ashkelon marina, or any other port in the area to Gaza. This recommendation came after a joint appeal by Greece and Italy for the Flotilla to accept a compromise and deliver the aid for distribution through the Catholic Church.
