Napoli Triumphs Over Fiorentina to Narrow Inter’s Serie A Lead


Napoli: Napoli secured a 2-1 victory over Fiorentina at home, reducing Inter’s lead at the top of Serie A to just one point. The goals for Napoli were scored by Romelu Lukaku and Giacomo Raspadori, providing a crucial win for the team.



According to Ansa News Agency, Fiorentina’s Albert Gudmundsson managed to score, but the team fell to eighth in the league standings following the match. Meanwhile, Inter maintained their position with 61 points from 28 games after a comeback win against Monza, with a score of 3-2 at San Siro on Sunday.



In other matches, Bologna showcased strong performance earlier on Sunday with a 2-1 win at Hellas Verona. Jens Odgaard and Nicolo Cambiaghi each scored for Bologna, while Daniel Mosquera netted one for Verona. The game saw Verona’s Nicolas Valentini receive a red card after a second yellow in the 70th minute. Bologna now sits in sixth place with 50 points, level with fifth-placed Lazio, who are set to play against Udinese on Monday.



Verona’s standing is 15th with a total of 26 points. Additionally, AS Roma climbed to seventh in the standings, achieving a 1-0 victory at Empoli, with winger Matias Soule scoring the decisive goal in the first minute of the game.
