Premier Giorgia Meloni called a Group of Seven (G7) leaders meeting on the Middle East for Wednesday afternoon by videolink from Rome.
“Italy will continue to work for a diplomatic solution, also in its capacity as rotating president of the G7.
I have called a meeting at the leaders’ level for this afternoon”, she said in opening a cabinet meeting.
The G/ will meet, she said, “in light of the worsening crisis in the Middle East”.
