Meloni Affirms Global Consensus for Just Peace in Kyiv, Including US Support

London: Everyone wants a just peace for Kyiv, even the United States, Premier Giorgia Meloni said after a London summit on Ukraine and European defence and security Sunday. “What we know and what we share and what we shared today is that ultimately we all share the same goal, Italy shares it, Europe shares it, NATO shares it, the United States shares it and it is to reach a just and lasting peace in Ukraine, then we have to discuss how,” Meloni said at a press briefing at the residence of the Italian ambassador in London at the end of the summit on Ukraine.

According to Ansa News Agency, Meloni emphasized the unified stance among Italy, Europe, NATO, and the United States on the objective of achieving a fair and enduring peace in Ukraine. The summit in London focused on discussions regarding Ukraine and the broader context of European defence and security, where leaders reiterated their commitment to this common goal.
