Man Killed in Accident at Metal Plant in Veneto

Brendola: A 58-year-old man was killed while working at the ‘Aristoncavi’ metal plant in the Veneto town of Brendola, near Vicenza. The incident occurred on Monday and is part of a concerning trend of labour-related deaths in Italy.

According to Ansa News Agency, Premier Giorgia Meloni has announced that her government is allocating 650 million euros in new funding to enhance workplace health and safety measures. This announcement came just before the May Day national holiday last week.

The government is scheduled to meet with trade unions on May 8 to further discuss issues related to health and safety in the workplace.
