Man Behind Lewd Website ID’d as Vittorio Vitiello
Florence: The man behind a lewd website that published sexualized photos of dozens of Italian women politicians, including Premier Giorgia Meloni, as well as actresses and influencers, has been identified in Florence. This development comes after a complaint by Mayor Sara Funaro, one of the many center-left politicians targeted by the now-closed site, Phica.eu, which echoes the Italian slang word for vagina.
According to Ansa News Agency, the 45-year-old manager of the site has been identified by the left-wing daily Domani as Vittorio Vitiello. Born in Pompei and owner of a small company in Italy since 2023, Vitiello is believed, based on investigations, to be the administrator of the website www.Phica.eu. He was questioned in the Tuscan capital following Funaro’s complaint.
A significant class action lawsuit has been launched by a marriage counselor and family lawyer, Annamaria Bernardini. She stated on Monday that she had received hundreds of complaints about Phica, which she described as having “gang rap
ed” the women involved. Bernardini expressed hopes to soon have reports about another lewd site that was recently shuttered, Mia Moglie (My Wife), which similarly attracted numerous vulgar and sexist comments about the wives depicted in sexual poses.
