Man Arrested for Assaulting 14-Year-Old Met on Social Media

Busto Arsizio: A 21-year-old man of North African origin was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of beating and raping a 14-year-old Peruvian girl he met on social media, police reported.

According to Ansa News Agency, the man was allegedly caught in the act in Busto Arsizio, located in the province of Varese, as he attacked the girl on the street. The incident occurred in an abandoned area behind the train station.

The girl’s cries for help were heard by a nearby resident, who promptly alerted emergency services by calling 112. When officers from a local police patrol arrived at the scene, the suspect was reportedly still “using violence” against the victim. He has since been taken into custody and is now in prison awaiting questioning to validate the attack.

At the hospital, medical professionals provided the alleged victim with a 50-day prognosis, highlighting the severity of her condition following the attack.
