Luca Sinigaglia Demonstrated Italian Values Says Moscow

Moscow: Climber Luca Sinigaglia demonstrated Italian values when he died trying to save a Russian colleague on a Kyrgyz peak this month, the Russian foreign ministry’s spokeswoman said Friday. Maria Zakhkarova paid tribute to the courage of Lombardy mountaineer Sinigaglia, 49, who gave his life trying to save his Russian colleague Natalia Nagovitsyna on Peak Pobeda in Kyrgyzstan on August 15.

According to Ansa News Agency, his sacrifice, the spokeswoman said, demonstrates “the true qualities and values of the Italian people.” TASS reports.
