Vatican City: Robert Francis Prevost, known as Pope Leo XIV, has made history as the first North American Pope and the first Pontiff to deliver a written speech.

According to Ansa News Agency, prior to Pope Leo XIV, Pontiffs traditionally gave their inaugural addresses from the Loggia of the Apostolic Palace extemporaneously. This marks a significant departure from the norm, showcasing a new approach in papal communication.
