According to the announcement of KDNP, they are sending an appeal to their fellow members and sympathizers on Facebook. In the post published on social media, it was written: due to the flood situation, everyone is invited to join forces. Those who would join and participate in the defense, send a message, they asked.
They put it like this:
we Christian Democrats consider it our moral duty to stand by our fellow human beings in every trial, to protect them and their values. We are also there in flood protection, it is our neighborly and Christian duty to wear rubber boots and pack sandbags; when it rains, when it blows, fighting shoulder to shoulder on the dams”
they said.
They also touched on the fact that KDNP politicians and members of parliament have been taking their share of the work necessary in the extraordinary flood situation for days. They ask their fellow members and sympathizers to join the struggle and apply to local organizations.
